Effective October 9, all New York employers, including nonprofit employers, will be required to implement an anti-sexual harassment policy and provide annual training to all employees on how to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. In addition, New York has recently amended its laws to expand the types of workers who can bring claims of sexual harassment; limit the use of confidentiality agreements in separation agreements in which allegations of sexual harassment are raised; and prohibit the mandatory arbitration of sexual harassment claims. Is your organization prepared?
Please join us to learn more about these new requirements and to discuss some practical tips on how to implement them in your workplace.
