Thank you to our more than 600 supporters who celebrated the Partnership’s 20th Anniversary last Thursday at Cipriani!
Together, we honored the Pro Bono Partnership Founders, including General Electric Company, Richard Hobish, Founding Executive Director, and ACC Westchester/ Southern Connecticut.
We also presented Hon. Jonathan Lippman with the inaugural Lifetime Pro Bono Award, and celebrated our 2017 Pro Bono Partnership Champions: Jami Wintz McKeon, Chair of Morgan Lewis, and the Legal Department at Merck & Co., Inc.
Thanks to your generosity, we exceeded our ambitious goal of raising $2 million for the free legal services and educational programs Pro Bono Partnership provides to nonprofits in the tristate area!
With gratitude for a wonderful 20th Anniversary, a special thanks goes to our Dinner Chairs, David Leitch, Global General Counsel, Bank of America, and Ashley Watson, Senior VP, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, Merck & Co., Inc.; the Steering Committee; the Gala Committee; the dedicated Pro Bono Partnership Board of Directors; and our client, Valerie Traoré, President and CEO of the Food Bank of South Jersey who shared how pro bono services made all the difference for her organization.
It was a spectacular evening, and one that I am so pleased to have been a part of. This was also the last Pro Bono Partnership Gala I will attend as Executive Director. It has been my privilege and honor to lead the Partnership for the last three years, and I will take all I’ve learned about this fabulous organization with me to Columbia Law School.
I’m thrilled to announce that Nancy Eberhardt, our longtime Program Director in New Jersey, has been named Interim Executive Director. No one knows the Partnership better than Nancy, and there’s no better steward of the Partnership’s mission or advocate for strengthening nonprofits and communities during this transitional period. Nancy can be reached at neberhardt@probonopartner.org or 973-240-6955 ext. 302.
Thank you, again, for your support of the Pro Bono Partnership! To see more photos from the Gala, visit our Facebook page here.
See you next year!
