June is LGBT Pride Month, an opportunity for all of us to reflect on important moments in history — from the June 1969 Stonewall Riots in the West Village to the June 26, 2015 decision in Obergefell v. Hodges, which made marriage equality the law of the land.

We at Pro Bono Partnership honor our clients and all of the advocacy groups that support people who are LGBTQ as well as their families and allies.

To help celebrate Pride Month, we offer a special blog post relating to respecting diversity in the workplace, The Pro Bono Partnership Pundit: Treating Gender-Affirmed and Gender-Diverse People with Dignity and Respect Is Easy.

Also, in connection with our June 8 webinar, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation in Today’s Workplaces, Schools, Shelters, and Other Environments, we have posted three documents.  One traces the history of employment law protections for LGBTQ individuals and another provides links to documentaries and articles relating to gender affirmations.  The final document is the National Consensus Statement of Anti-Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Organizations in Support of Full and Equal Access for the Transgender Community.
