Pro Bono Partnership is able to provide essential legal services to nonprofits in the tristate area at no charge because of our dedicated and tireless volunteers. So, it was with great pleasure that we honored our volunteers at three regional events: April 17 in White Plains, April 24 in Parsippany, and May 1 in Hartford. We had a wonderful turnout at each celebration, and they also provided an opportunity for our volunteers to learn more about our nonprofit clients, and our clients to meet their counterparts at other local nonprofits! A resounding success on all fronts.

You can see highlights from the events on our Facebook page (White Plains, Princeton, Hartford). While you’re there, please “LIKE” our page, and share a post with a friend or colleague.

Congratulations, again, to our Volunteers of the Year, and thank you to our event sponsors, Pratt & Whitney and Skadden, our community partners Real Art Ways and University—N.O.W. Day Nursery, and all of our contributors for supporting our mission!

In other Partnership news, we’ve recently introduced some organizational changes that I want to share. First, we developed a new position that will help the Partnership be more efficient and consistent across our offices, and I’m pleased that Courtney Darts is our first Legal Director. Courtney has been with the Partnership for nearly nine years, most recently as Director of Education. In this new role she will continue to provide educational programming oversight, and will also assume responsibility for the legal program.

Courtney brings unparalleled insight to the position, having been involved with nearly every aspect of program and operations during her tenure.

In April we were excited to name Christine Michelle Duffy New Jersey Program Director.
Christine has been with the Partnership’s New Jersey program for 11 years as Senior Staff Attorney. Christine’s knowledge of the program, legal expertise, and commitment to empowering the nonprofit sector and improving New Jersey neighborhoods make Christine uniquely qualified to lead our New Jersey effort.

Please join me in congratulating Courtney and Christine, and wishing them continued success in their new roles.

Lastly, while I certainly don’t want to rush past spring and summer, we’re already gearing-up for our 21st Annual Gala Celebration on October 17, 2018! I hope you’ll join us at Cipriani 42nd Street for what will be a spectacular evening. Details to come, but please mark your calendars.

With appreciation,

Nancy Eberhardt
Executive Director
