Last spring, for the first time in Pro Bono Partnership’s history, a new donor — the Jeniam Foundation — posed a Matching Challenge of $20,000 to support Pro Bono Partnership’s educational and outreach efforts. The centerpiece project would be a website redesigned to engage and expand our network of current and prospective clients and volunteers, as well as financial supporters and members of the media.
The catch to the match? The donations needed to come from new donors or from increased giving from past donors.
Thanks to avenues such as the Westchester/Putnam Giving Day, as well as other directed outreach efforts, the Partnership raised the $20,000 needed to equal the challenge grant amount and at the same time welcomed new donors.
“The website project was a particularly exciting way to welcome new donors, who have quickly made a significant impact in the way we reach and educate our nonprofit client and volunteer communities,” said Executive Director Marcia Levy.
“Terex is proud to have played a key role in the development of the new Partnership website, by increasing our donation to Pro Bono Partnership. As a board member, I am excited to provide value to our constituents, giving them a compelling reason to visit the website on a regular basis,” said Eric I Cohen, Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel at Terex Corporation.
