New Jersey Governor Murphy has approved two new laws that will dramatically impact the way New Jersey employers address compensation systems and paid sick leave policies.
Both laws apply to all nonprofits and neither law contains a “small employer” exception.
Pro Bono Partnership and the Jackson Lewis law firm have prepared two articles for nonprofits that explain the new laws: New Jersey’s Diane B. Allen Equal Pay Act (which goes into effect on July 1) and New Jersey Paid Sick Leave Act (which goes into effect on October 29).
