On May 28, 2019, Governor Lamont signed into law Public Act 19-4: An Act Increasing the Minimum Fair Wage. This Act provides, in part, for the gradual increase of the State’s minimum wage from the current rate of $10.10 per hour to $15.00 per hour by June 1, 2023.

Nothing in Public Act 19-4 alters employer requirements to comply with the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
What Employers Should Do Now:
- Review payroll records to ensure that qualifying employees receive pay raises to at least the new minimum fair wage by October 1, 2019.
