Maureen McTernan, Volunteer Staff Attorney (New Jersey Office), provides general legal advice to New Jersey clients on topics including corporate governance and structure issues, charitable registration, contracts, non-profit law, and endowment spending. She also assists clients in drafting waivers, confidentiality agreements, a variety of policies, memoranda of agreement and prepares filings for incorporation and tax exemption.
Maureen worked as a law clerk to a judge, at a law firm and spent more than a decade at various companies within The Prudential Insurance Company handling general corporate work, transactional work and supervising litigation against the company. She is a former member of The Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel and of the Insurance Environmental Litigation Association and a former board member of various PTA’s, PTO’s and athletic booster clubs in Millburn, NJ.
Maureen is admitted to the bar in New Jersey. She is a graduate of the College of Saint Elizabeth and Seton Hall School of Law. She holds a certificate in architectural preservation from Drew University and completed the Pace University School of Law, New Directions Program.
